p-factory is an artist collective, which consists of six contemporary painters, Ryuta Nakajima, Andy Messerschmidt, Jacob Lunderby, Ryan Fryer, Aya Kawaguchi and David Dilworth. P-factory has been exhibiting nationally and internationally since 2003 and has featured over 20 artists from around the world. Unlike traditionally organized group exhibitions where issues of style, ideology or geographical location are used to determine presentation of works, p-factory operates on a basis of conceptual and visual resonances within the vernacular of contemporary painting and drawing as a form of cohesion. A democratic organizational method is used as a means to open up information flows, and promote the exchange of current artistic activities, and physical interactions with various artists around the world.
