David Dilworth

The works submitted are products of the Agartha Arts Collective, a collective of musicians and artists from the San Francisco Bay Area working to create a hybrid mythology through sound and image to function as social/political criticism, science fiction, and hallucinatory aid. Our mythology revolves around stories of Agartha, a city located in the interior of the Earth, where, according to Hindu legend, an inner sun illuminates another world inside ours. According to the Hermetic axiom, 'as above, so below', Agartha must simultaneously exist subjectively, inside all of us. Accordingly, our collective mission is to explore this dual nature and disseminate our findings through painting and rap music.
